Ed Swedberg, Senior Consultant, has a broad range of public sector leadership experience in the areas of technology, program management, outsourcing, business process improvement, procurement, organizational change, public policy and regulatory operations.
Ed worked for the State of Texas from 2007-2017, serving in senior executive positions at the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, the Department of Information Resources, and the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. In these leadership roles, he led the build-out of a major new data center, implemented a unified call center and spearheaded the re-procurement of the statewide Data Center Services contracts, including the multi-services integrator.
Ed is retired from the United States Air Force with the rank of Colonel, having served in the specialty areas of technology, intelligence, and space. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and Master’s degrees from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and the Air War College. Ed is also a commissioned state police officer.
