Paul Fairbrother graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Government and a Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs. He established an expert knowledge of federal, state, and local government through personal work experience prior to founding Government Partners, LLC.
Paul started his career at a Texas state agency in a technical position. He then served as an aide to the late U.S. Congressman Jake Pickle, learning the inner workings of the federal government. He also served as an aide to former Austin City Manager John Ware coordinating issues between the city manager and members of the Austin City council, gaining a detailed level of knowledge in city government. Paul’s acumen regarding state government was further honed as Chief-of-Staff to former Texas State Senator Cyndie Krier.
Paul gained an extensive network of contacts in the Legislature, from which he launched his consulting and lobby work in front of the Texas Legislature with an emphasis on procurement issues, technology, health care and the appropriations process.
Paul is also known for local management of events such as the Texas CIO Academy and Best of Texas, working with advisory boards comprised of agency and vendor leaders. In conjunction with e.Republic, Paul administers the Bob Bullock award program, annually recognizing individual leadership in technology within Texas state government.
